Ian Cerexhe is Portpatrick born and bred and has been a keen angler all his life. After a degree in Zoology at the University of Aberdeen, he took an unlikely career path through civil engineering site and project management, and then business development around the world, before returing to Portpatrick in 1998.

As an antidote to retirement, he began Portpatrick Charters in 2005 and since then has been building a reputation as one of the most helpful, hospitable, patient (sometimes!), conservation-minded charter skippers in the whole street.
